Max Title Length
What is the maximum of characters we can add to our titles before Google cutting it down? According to the popular tools below, the limit is;
- RankMath: 580px
- Yoast: 600px
- SERPsim: 560px
So who’s is correct?
According to my test, the max title length is “610px”.
Max Meta Description Length
What is the maximum of characters we can add to our meta description before Google stop showing it? According to the popular tools below, the limit is;
- RankMath: 920px
- Yoast: 900px
- SERPsim: 990px
It’s quite interesting to see that the max length proposed vary that much between different SEO tool.
According to my test, the max meta description length is “990px”.
Max URL Length
Finally, what is the maximum length we can use for our URLs/Slugs? According to the test we have ran below, the URL started to be trunked at 371px.
However, this URL include folders (silo), which could be treated differently. Now let see how the flat rate URLs are treated now.
So according to the test above, a flat URL without sub-folders (silo category) is trunked at 437 pixels.
